Group of Companies REMCO sponsored the concert of Dmitry Pevtsov. On 4 September, People's Artist of Russia performed at Oktyabr Entertainment Center a concert program "Short biography or there are a lot of singers but Pevtsov is the only one" (*in Russian language surname Pevtsov has the meaning "a singer") which revealed to the audience new features of his talent and unknown details of his biography. While the band was tuning up the instruments, Dmitry found the time to talk with a correspondent of our company's newspaper "Znamya Truda ZiO".

Songs find me themselves

- Dmitry, is a singing career an artist's fancy or more serious step in your creative life?

- I could not say that it is a career. I just like to sing and now I have a group to sing with.

- So it is your hobby, isn't it?

- What about hobby, I take too seriously. For example, I take singing lessons.

- Tell me, please, how group KarTush which works with you appeared?

- In my life or how it was set up?

- Both.

- Andrey Vertuzaev set up the group about 2 years ago. So the group is rather young but has already become a laureate of some competitions. Before the work with me, KarTush played mainly hard rock. The group consists of young men with exception of our rock'n'roll "dinosaur" whose name is Oleg Sakmarov, he played with such famous singers as Boris Grebenshchikov and Vyacheslav Butusov.

- How you were taken into this original team?

- I know Andrey Vertuzaev for very long time, we met at auto racing and now the music joins us. Firstly I just helped him to promote the group. Then we united and now he helps me to realize my musical ideas. Almost all my repertory is connected with KarTush. Now we have rather strange puzzle which consists of songs of Vertinsky, Vysotsky, rock ballades of Nikolay Parfenyuk, popular songs of 60-es and songs of KarTush.

- Does this puzzle characterize your musical preferences or you like only one style?

- I don't have style preferences, I like any good music whether it is rock'n'roll or love song… I've worked with many musicians, composers and song writers. Now I don't sing songs which I've bought. The songs find me themselves. Once, for example, I was offered to sing Shakespeare's sonnets set to Tariverdiev's music. Now these compositions are in my repertory.

- Did "Two Stars" TV project have an influence on your decision to perform with KarTush?

- It was a very good experience for me, an interesting competition because it was necessary to learn a lot of musical material in a short time. But I can't say that only "Two Stars" influenced on my decision to organize live concerts with KarTush. Because Zara (* Russian singer with whom Pevtsov participated in the project) and I still perform together, it is one more experience for me involving one more, other musical material.

- Do you see the future of your musical projects?

- I don't know. From the one hand, my attitude to a serious continuation of my musical projects is rather sceptical because people don't see me as a singer and don't know what to expect of the show. But from the other hand, those who visit my shows are very satisfied and thank me a lot, I've never seen dissatisfied or leaving the show people. That's why anything may happen. I would like to have two or three concerts a month. Especially it will be good if it is a combination of all the best from show business such as good decorations, video art, effects; that is music of high quality, excellent show with very good meaning content, not excluding sarcasm or irony.

- Would you come to Podolsk one more time?

- With pleasure. Any concert differs from the others even if they are performed at the same place. Our program is changed, we change and our audience changes. And those who have visited my concert today, in a year will see quite another show. What about me, I would like to feel this difference.

- What would you like to wish our readers?

- I wish you and everybody love. Love and pleasure from any process you participate in.
